Breakfast Date

The best sandwich in Nizhny Novgorod. Chef's Cafe.
1st November 2013

Assalamualaikum
dan salam sejahtera...

Breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. This is a short and quick update about life here in Nizhny. During Traumatology (Orthopaedics) cycle, the hospital is located just near the Chef's cafe. The cafe can be reach just by crossing the road in front of the hospital.

And yup, what more to do other than trying something new rite? Life will be so much interesting with it. It was a nice sunny day. The best thing about it was that we finish our class so much earlier than supposed to be. We finished around 9.30 am because the doctor was so busy and got an important surgery to attend.

With traumatology Surgeon.

This tree is so big and beautiful! At the back of the hospital.
Girls from group 531L&M.

I think, I kinda like this subject. Its interesting because you're dealing with bones, trauma, burns, and unexpected things. The doctor, Anton Vladimirovic is also a good teacher. We could see from his eyes that he really tried and wanna teach us. That motivate me a lot. He once said, 'I know you're motivated enough, that's why you choose to become a doctor. Then, if you don't know something, you'll be motivate enough to look for it in the book or internet'.

Luckily for us, it was zachut day! Uraaa.. Oh, I forgot to mention that Russian use 'Uraaa!' as 'Hoorayyyy!'. Sound weird rite, but well, its the difference make them so unique. The last day of the cycle. And its friday. Its kinda we got an early weekend. So, we decided to drop by this Cafe and tried whatever the cafe had to offer to us.

 Lets hava a breakfast!
Inside the cafe. It is handle by a group of friends.

My breakfast date. Farahin and Adila.

The list of menu is on the picture above. They offer sandwich, soup, pasta, and salad. Not to forget about coffee! The moment you enter the cafe, you can smell the coffee from a distance. Most of the student from Technical University drop-by this cafe before or after they have classes there. So, this cafe is kinda full all the time.

The sandwich was delicious. I chose the one with Philadelphia cheese and семгой fish. Well, if you're living abroad, you'll be either a vegetarian or a fish lover. There's no much choice other than seafood. If you go to Subway, you can choose tuna, crabstick, семгой, mushroom or with salad only. But of course, there's Muslim restaurant, but not much.

My Philadelphia sandwich and Americano...
Price: 180 ruble (RM18.00)

If you compare the price with Malaysian Ringgit, there's no way you gonna think of eating in the cafe or anywhere else outside. You'll just think of cooking all the time. We, as a student here don't really go for a dinner or lunch or even breakfast outside everyday. We go for it occasionally, whenever we are free and wanna hang out together.

Oh yes. I ordered the wrong coffee. I was thinking of Cappucino, but then, I accidentally asked for Americano. Americano, coffee without milk or cream. I prefer Cappuccino or Latte, the either one with milk. But most likely, I love cold coffee, rather than the hot one. But they didn't serve it here.

Breakfast like a Queen. Lunch like a Princess.
Dinner like a Peasant.

Have a healthy breakfast everyone! Don't even think of skipping it.
At least, one piece of banana will do.
^_^

Before I forgot, for those shopping lover at Groupon, I would like to encourage you to donate for the victims of Thyphoon Haiyan, Tacloban, Philipina. I'm sure most of had already heard about the it. There's a lot of people there in need of foods, shelter, clothes and much more. Some of them lost everything they had in just a blink of eyes.

I just realized we can donate through Groupon to Malaysian Red Crescent Society. Here, if anyone want to help, can donate as minimum as RM10, RM25, RM50, and more. I'm not asking for RM1000 or more, I'm just asking for your one day lunch budget which can serve them more.

Humanity. Deep in our soul, there must be some piece of it.
Care for others like you care for yourself.

Backpacking tengok Iron Maiden buat persembahan kat lain2 tempat, dan jalan2 siang hari. Cita2 saya nak tengok St Petersburg jugak dah baca orang cerita.

    1. Its okay, as long as you try your best during your foundation. If you really want to be in medicine, and you find out that its really hard, try harder. You never know until you try it. :)
